Wendy has more than 38 years of experience in the financial services industry. In addition to her applicable securities registrations and insurance licenses, Wendy holds the professional designations of Accredited Asset Management Specialist and Accredited Wealth Management Advisor. Her areas of focus include investment and retirement planning, insurance and tax-efficient investing.
Wendy works directly with her clients to help ensure that they understand their investments. She assists them in developing personalized plans to help them reach their financial goals.
Building on 16 years of experience with Wells Fargo Advisors, Wendy opened Buchanan Wealth Management with the services, resources and support of Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network. Recognized in a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors, Wendy earned the Platinum Council distinction from 2008-2025. Wendy and her high school sweetheart, Mike, have celebrated more than 40 years of marriage. Together they are members of First Baptist Church of Nacogdoches and are very active members in the community. Wendy served on the Stephen F. Austin State University Foundation Board of Trustees and is currently on the United Way board. She served as past president of the Kiwanis Club and the NHS Alumni Association Board, and is past Chairman of the Finance Committee for the SFA Alumni Association Board of Directors.
